Bernard Sinnot 1929-2012 (46-47)

Bernard was born in Liverpool and evacuated to North Wales during the War. Afterwards he attended St Joseph's College, Upholland. Here he received a phenomenal education; he read and wrote in Greek and Latin and had a great love of philosophy and music.

Bernard could often be found in a pulpit on the Pier Head for the Catholic Evidence Guild explaining - in his uniquely uncompromising way - Catholic doctrine to a very mixed bunch of Scousers.

Bernard became a teacher and then a lecturer at La Sainte Union College in Southampton. He had a keen mind and enjoyed a good discussion. A keen Liverpool supporter and a great lover of all things French, he visited France regularly.

His wife pre-deceased him and he leaves two sons.
